Seven Stars Inn Steakhouse
Today I'm gonna switch things up a bit here on the blog. I usually cover various eating challenges from around the country/world, however this particular post will just focus on a local PA steakhouse. The reason I'm writing about it here is the place is famous for it's MASSIVE portions. I don't think they have any challenges, yet, but literaly everything on the menu is BIG.
The restaurant is called Seven Stars Inn. It is located in phoenixville, chester county, PA. It is a historic location, as it has been there since 1736, giving it tons of character and charm.
Menu items range greatly from 32oz sirloin steaks, 24oz cold water lobster tails, and up the behemoth 40oz prime rib, the specialty of the house, and also my personal favorite! If you decide to visit this historic steakhouse, and I highly recommend you do, come HUNGRY! People almost always leave with BAGS of leftovers! The price is a little steep, but considering the quality of the food, and the portions, I'd say it's spot-on. So if you're ever in Chester County, PA near Phoenixville, come check this place out. You'll be SO happy you did!

This beautiful little creation is The Bacon Bomb, offered by Paddy Long's Irish Pub, in Lincoln Park, Chicago. The beast is five pounds of ground sausage, pork and beef mixed with spices and wrapped in a weave of brown sugar bacon, and then slow cooked on their pig roaster. This Bomb is served with potato salad or fries, and serves 6-8 people.

That’s just 45 minutes to eat all five pounds of ground beef and pork, the cracked pepper bacon center and brown sugar bacon weave! Luck will definately be needed in this one folks! Stay Hungry!!

Ultimate English Breakfast!
This, my hungry friends, is the Kidz Breakfast, by the Jesters Diner in Southtown, Great Yarmouth, UK. It costs 15 quid, which is only about $24, a literal steal if you ask me. You have 60 minutes to complete the whole thing, and if you do it's free.
It weighs in at 9.5 pounds, about the same weight as a child, which is how it got it's name. It has 6,000 calories, which is the caloric equivalent of 2 christmas dinners, or 12 Big Macs! INSANE!
The entire meal consists of 12 bacon rashers, or canadian bacon in the states, 12 sausages, six eggs, four slices of black pudding, also called BLOOD pudding, four slices of bread and butter, four slices of toast, four slices of fried bread, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, saute potatoes and an EIGHT egg cheese and potato omelette!
To date, there has been only one man to beat the challenge. He is a british breakfast eating champion. He completed it in a mere 26 minutes!! He also drove 125 miles to do it. Now I understand people love their breakfast, and can eat ALOT of it, but WOW, this one is just nuts! I've had english breakfasts many times, and man are they delicious, but I wouldn't even be able to put a DENT in this monster. Crazy....just crazy!

Chicken-Fried Steak Challenge!
This beauty right here is the Chicken-Fried Steak Challenge, offered by the Cowtown Diner, in Fort Worth, TX. The challenge consists of simply finishing(no time limit) this 64oz, gravy-covered chicken-fried steak, plus 6 pounds of mashed potatoes and 10 slices of Texas toast. The prize for completing it is the meal for free, your picture on the wall of fame, and a commemorative T-shirt.
The Guinness Book of World Records officially recognizes this beast as the largest chicken-fried steak in existence! So far only eight people have tackled this steak and all have lost. The person who came closest finished most of the steak, amazingly, but didn't make a dent in the potatoes. The home-made white gravy topping the steak is made from butter AND bacon-drippings, as if it wasn't rich and hearty enough! Now personally, I've never had chicken-fried steak, but looking at this, I'm seriously considering making a trip out to my local diner and getting some!

Oyster Challenge!
One of my absolute FAVORITE foods...OYSTERS! Todays challenge comes to us courtesy of the Acme Oyster House, a 100 year-old Louisiana seafood house. The challenge is to finish 15 dozen raw oysters within 1 hour. Definately possible if you ask me! If the challenge is conquered the reward is 1/2 off the price of the oysters, as well as membership to the 15 dozen club.
Now let's talk stats. The challenge has been offered since the mid 1990s. Of the 300-400 attempts, less than 1/3 have completed the feat, however, official records were lost in hurricane Katrina. Interesting fact, the entire challenge equals to 6 pounds of raw oyster meat. WOW!
Of the 1/3 that have beaten the challenge, Adam Richman was among them, finishing his 15 dozen oysters in a mere 20 minutes, he then ordered a Po-boy to-go. As if the challenge wasn't enough, Acme Oyster House also offers an oyster contest, which consists of 52 dozen!

Mucho Burrito!
This burrito is absolutely MUCHO LOCO!! This is the B3 (big badass burrito) Challenge, offered by The Nascar Cafe in Las Vegas. So far roughly 140 have tried to conquer this beast and only 2 have succeeded. Judging by the size of this burrito, I'd say that's about right! The time limit is 90 minutes to finish this 6lb, 2 foot long monster. As you can see, it's topped with melted cheese, sour cream and guacamole. Adam Richman of Man vs Food said the burrito is about the same size of an infant! Crazy! Speaking of Adam, even he couldn't take this burrito down.

Bar B Que Challenge!
It wouldn't be summer without bar b que. However, this bar b que...is on a whole 'nother level! This is The Ultimate Destroyer, from Papa Bob's Bar B Que in Kansas City, KS.
The colossal sandwich Boasts a half pound of pulled pork, a half pound of hickory smoked sliced pork, a half pound of sliced, hickory smoked ham, half pound of smoked turkey breast, 3 half pound smoked hamburgers, half pound tender hickory smoked brisket, and finally a half pound of smoked bbq sausage.
All of that crazy meat madness is sandwiched inbetween layers of bread and Papa Bob's BBQ sauce. All inbetween a 12' hoagie bun! Sandwich is HUGE!!! And yet, as if this challenge wasn't loco enough, they add one and a half pounds of fries, and four dill pickle spears, or 4 jalapeno peppers to complete the challenge!
The entire challenge has to be completed in 45 minutes or less. If finished in time, you get it for free; price is $48, and your picture on the wall. Easily one of the craziest challenges out there, and seemingly one of the hardest to beat considering the amount of food, and the short time limit.
Check out my other foodblog....but come HUNGRY!!

Pho Challenge
This massive bowl of Pho is offered by a place in San Francisco, called Pho Garden. In case you don't know what pho is, listen up. Pho is a vietnamese noodle-soup usually served with beef or chicken. Other meats can be added as well, such as beef tendons, tripe, and meatballs. Other ingredients include basil, cilantro, thinly-sliced green onion, lime juice, bean sprouts, and herbs. Peppers and hot-sauce can usually be found accompanying the dish. This particular bowl of pho contains 2 lbs each of noodles and beef.
The challenge is to finish the bowl(broth is optional) within 1 hour. This bowl is the equivalent of 3 extra-large orders! The meat combination is as follows.....rare steak, tripe, flank steak, brisket, soft tendon, and meatballs. Truly a monster feat to accomplish indeed!

Monster Burger Challenge
The Burger you see here is called the Big Beefy Burger Challenge. It's offered by a restaurant called Maggio's, in a town in Pennsylvania called Southampton. It boasts 5 10oz beef patties, 10 slices of bacon, 2 whole tomatoes, 3/4 of a texas white onion, 1/2 a head of iceburg lettuce, 15 slices of american cheese, and extra mayo. It's served with fries, coleslaw, pickles, and a beer. Supposed you have a time limit of 30 minutes to finish it, but I would not be surprised if it was changed. Not surprisingly not too many people can take it down. 50oz of beef alone is nothing to sneeze at. AMAZING!
